Latest Updates from Our Project:

Important news about our delivery schedule
6 months ago – Fri, Oct 17, 2025 at 10:04:14 AM

Hi everyone,

As stated in the past two updates, Ines was dealing with excruciating pain in their wrists which prevented them from drawing as much as they wanted the past two months. The latest update on that situation is that they went to the doctor and they now have to go to the physio and get a plan of medical exercises to help them deal with the pain on a day to day basis as well as get generally better. They are currently looking at finding a specialist in their area for it at the same time that the doctor prescribed them to also do some more exams to rule out other more dangerous conditions that would require surgery, etc.

To be completely transparent with you, we considered switching pencillers to be able to deliver this project earlier/on schedule for you all, but we figured that Ines' style is pretty much ingrained in the visuals now, and having non-consistent art is not something we want to do if only for the quality of the product we want to deliver. We made this together, we'll finish together kinda thing.

A few other points:
- We were aiming at sending the books to print before the big Thanksgiving rush quickly followed by the Holiday rush in the US to not get into any delays and also for shipping to not occur during the busiest time of the year (where packages often get delayed or lost in transit, etc). It's also a time when shipping companies increase their prices because of the influx of packages they receive so we wanted to dodge that as much as possible as well. But now with Ines' health, we are thinking that we will give them time to recover properly, assess a new schedule, and send the books to print early next year (after all the holidays shenanigans). As always, we will keep you posted at each step, and we are still working on it, albeit more slowly than anticipated.
- Addresses won't get locked before we are ready to ship so fear not if you need to update yours, you will receive a reminder (as well as a direct update from me beforehand) when we are ready to lock them.

We thank you immensely for your understanding, and as always we remain available if you have any questions, inquiries or concerns at any moment :) Don't hesitate.

Until next time (with hopefully some good news!),
MH

Progress Update
6 months ago – Wed, Oct 08, 2025 at 06:27:26 AM

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all doing well, and have entered into Fall with cool projects and things to look forward to—big or small—to keep your spirits up :) For me, being able to walk with my dog near the water in a cozy hoodie and shorts (my fav part of Autumn haha) as the sun rises each morning are small moments of happiness I am grateful for. I think we all need those to balance the horrors.

That being said, I wanted to give you all a small update on where we are at.

You might remember Ines' wrists situation. It hasn't gotten better :( Currently, they are sketching one page and then it takes them a few days to recover each time. Following a doctor's visit, we should have some answers (hopefully) about steps to take for their wrists by next week.

Kej is inking and colouring the pages afterward, but also has a more packed schedule on their shared projects because of this situation which keeps them super busy. As you can probably already expect reading this, the updated schedule for delivery has shifted slightly because of all of it. We will keep you posted and are sorry for the delay. We weren't expecting health problems to be the defining factor of the last stretch of this project, but we thank you for understanding. We are also here to answer any questions you might have.

You can still enjoy some process of multiple pages at the end of this update (from layouts, to sketched, to inked and then flat colours). We are progressing and things are not static! Plus, we are stoked with how it looks :) We hope you are as well.

Until next time.

Surveys, timeline and general update
7 months ago – Tue, Sep 02, 2025 at 07:29:41 AM

Hi everyone!

I hope you had a good August. As we are venturing into September + approach Fall (my favorite season), I wish we can all look forward to some good news here and there, and small events that bring us happiness while we try our best to navigate everything!

That being said, I wanted to give you all an updated timeline on this project. As some of you know, Kej has been sick for multiple weeks at the beginning of Summer, and Ines has to deal with an ongoing real bad wrist situation preventing them to draw completely some days. Pair that with the excruciating heat of the past few months that have made it more difficult to concentrate on things, it all affected the planned timeline for delivering this book.

We chatted about it, and with the level of completion it is at right now, plus factoring in everything I mentioned above, we are slightly revising the schedule to have the books sent to print by the end of October and then ship the rewards to you all during November/beginning of December. It's not a huge shift from what we had in mind/announced (we were supposed to ship throughout November), but we wanted to keep you guys posted.

This also means that since we have a tad more time before sending to print the main components (the books and art books) I will lock the surveys around September 15th to give some more time to the few people who haven't responded yet.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to me, I'll be happy to answer!

Take good care everyone.
Until next time.

Cheers,
MH
